La Garenne Lemot Estate

On the banks of the Sèvre Nantaise, visit an exceptional site heavily inspired by Italian architecture, set on stunning grounds.

François-Frédéric Lemot, a sculptor for Napoleon, was at the origin of this remarkable project. Within the woods of La Garenne, he constructed a Tuscan-style house and a neoclassical villa on grounds of 13 hectares. Throughout the gardens of the estate, a collection of ornamental follies (statues, grottoes, columns and tombs) can be admired.
